Hi! My name is Rissa. I am a 30ish-year-old female born into an incongruent male body. I was born in Los Angeles in a conservative Asian suburb. I’ve been living in the Bay Area for over 10 years now. I was only aware of gender roles starting age 8, when I resisted wearing finer clothes that would make me look like a “handsome boy”. I never liked toys that were poseable human action figures because I did not connect with the male heroes. Instead, I played with monster figures. My confusion and unhappiness reached new levels by the time of puberty around age 11. My first cross-dressing experience happened at age 12. I spent the next 18 years preoccupying myself with school. Now, I’m starting to pay attention to the rest of my life, and my life cannot continue until I address my situation. This blog is another transgender blog that may help those searching for answers. Through high and low times, I will try to capture the spirit of my journey as much as possible. Feel free to email, leave comments or suggestions, or just to say hi.

Hi! Just want to wish you well. You look great. I’ve been through Dr. O’s office over the last three years too and love to hear that other people have had the same warm and life changing experiences I had.
